WEEK OF 5 - 9 AUGUST

  • Paragraph Power - Cathy

    • Polish your composition skills with a focus on paragraph structure. Writing topics will tie in with the Art Workshop.

  • Art Workshop - Elena

    • Create cartoon characters from video games and more with 3D painting and sculpture. You’ll use acrylic paints and natural clay.

 

  • Math Workshop - Lily Y.

    • Ever wonder how RNG works? Ever wonder how computers render objects and why some games run worse than others? What about the probabilities of succeeding in an event? Come join us this summer for some video games, math, and fun!

 

MONDAY & TUESDAY: 12 & 13 AUGUST

  • Word Savvy 2-Day Workshop - Bill

    • Intro to SAT vocabulary. Students will learn to tease out the definitions of words they’ve never seen before by decoding Latin prefixes. suffixes, and roots.

 

  • LGBTQ+ History - Lily C.

    • LGBTQ+ people have always existed - but what about the organized LGBTQ+ community? Where did it come from? Why has it survived - and what's next? This two-day webinar explores the origins of contemporary American LGBTQ+ communities, with a particular focus on advocacy movements. Students will gain a better understanding of LGBTQ+ culture's historical context and development over time.
