Mission Statement

Huntington-Surrey School educates bright, diverse thinkers from ninth to twelfth grade who flourish within an individualized, flexible, student-centered college-preparatory environment.

Our faculty and staff are highly-credentialed, passionate, and inspiring. They focus on helping students develop self-accountability and self-motivation within the context of a supportive learning community in order to prepare them for success in college and life.

Our goal is to facilitate the students’ intellectual, emotional, aesthetic, ethical, and social growth; therefore, we foster a learning experience  that is nurturing, accepting, and challenging.

Our  mission is to prepare students for lifetime learning and decision-making, for taking responsibility for their decisions, for participating positively in civic and community life, and for practicing open-mindedness, respect and tolerance for others’ choices.

Huntington-Surrey students learn how to think, not what to think.
